2017 New Massdrop AKG K7XX Audiophile Headphones

Massdrop AKG K7XX Audiophile Headphones

If you’ve been looking for your next pair of audiophile-grade, open-back headphones this classic collaboration between Massdrop and AKG may be the one for you. It’ll not only save you some dough, but provide you with clean, accurate audio. Here’s all the info you need on Massdrop AKG K7XX drop.

2017 New Massdrop AKG K7XX Audiophile Headphones

Massdrop AKG K7XX is based off of the popular, classic AKG K702 open-back professional headphone that retailed for $659.99. The new limited edition K7XX improves upon the sound stage and frequency response. Massdrop and AKG did so by redesigning the dynamic driver with an innovative flat-wire voice coil. This boosts the highs. The mids were also brought up to better balance the range while the lows were “jacked up” as described by Massdrop, by 3 dB for fully immersive sound imaging. The headphones were also further optimized to ensure that each transducer is perfectly synced to provide listeners with perfectly balanced and synced sound.

When it comes to the frame and build of the headphones, the AKG K7XX features an identical build to the audiophile-grade open-back headphones that came before it. The floating headband ensures it is lightweight, while the leather strip offers supreme durability. The memory foam earpads mean you’ll be able to listen to wear these babies for a long time without your ears (or head) taking on any stress.

So, what sets these headphones apart from the AKG K702 headphones released earlier? the inside of the frame features the Massdrop logo on one side and an individualized serial number on the other. Finally, the black-on-black colorway brings a sleek style that doesn’t have to scream to stand out.

The Massdrop AKG K7XX headphones include a detachable 10 foot cable with a quarter inch adapter. This drop is going on now on Massdrop. Orders will be fulfilled and shipped by Massdrop August 10, 2017.
