Introducing a new addition to Audio Technica’s acclaimed studio monitoring line-up, Audio Technica ATH-M60x on-ear headphone.

New Release Audio Technica ATH-M60X, On-Ear Studio Headphone

Allowing for a slightly smaller and compact design is the on-ear M60X. The “low-profile” headphone, as described by Audio Technica, will still feature the same 45mm large-aperture drivers with rare earth magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils that are found in the wildly popular M50X headphone. This leads me to believe users can anticipate exceptional clarity throughout an extended frequency range with deep and accurate bass response (15Hz-28kHz), like the ATH-M50X. The impedance is quite low allowing for optimal use among a number of gadgets including mobile devices.

The primary difference seems to be the on-ear fit. These ear cups are said to provide stellar isolation and comfort as the cushions and headband are comprised of memory foam. P.S. The headband and cushions are both removable. As for the entire frame the unit is fully crafted using key metal components for lasting durability.

The M60X includes 3 detachable cables 1 long straight cable (3m), 1 long short cable (1.2m) , and a coiled cable (1.2m-3m) in addition to a carrying pouch and screw-on quarter-inch adapter.

Audio Technica ATH-M60X retails for $199 and is available for pre-order at Audio46. Orders ship July 2018.
