Denon Audio, known for their premium entertainment systems and hi-fi gear, is adding two new portable headphones to their short, but growing line-up. Meet Denon AH-D1200 and AH-D9200.

New Release Denon AH-D1200, Denon AH-D9200 Portable Over-Ear Headphones

Denon Audio’s new headsets take after their portable AH-D7200 launched last year. Fixed with 50mm drivers, signature rounded ear cups, and memory foam ear pads, the high-quality headphones diversify themselves by the type of materials they use, price point, and sound quality.

Denon AH-D1200 opts for more budget-friendly materials which lead to a budget-friendly price. At $200, the headphones feature ear cups of hard-grade materials in a minimal design. The collapsible headphone is available in either black or white with a corresponding diecast-aluminum hangar. The headband as well as the ear cushions are padded with memory foam for a comfortable long-lasting fit. Thanks to 50mm drivers with neodymium magnets, Denon AH-D1200 reaches a frequency response range between 4-50,000 Hz. Paired with a Hi-Res certification, this headset allows for full playback of their best audio reproduction. No word yet on when these will be available in the states, but hopefully soon as they are listed on the US site, as “out of stock.”

Denon AH-D9200 really kicks it up a notch. This headphone is designed similarly to the AH-D1200, but way more luxe. As advised by What Hi-Fi, the ear cups are comprised of “Japanese bamboo housings as opposed to walnut enclosures (found in the AH-D7200)” and feature a “newly developed version of the AH-D7200’s 50mm Nanofiber FreeEdge diaphragm.” Judging by the specifications of the starter headphone. the AH-D1200, and the premium materials in this headset, I’m sure this headphone is bound to astound. This headphone is said to be available in the UK around October 2018 for about $1800 USD, two years after the release of their AH-D7200.
