FIT and DESIGN – JBL T450BT Wireless On Ear Headphones Review

I have a little head. But the T450BT still feel a little tight and make my ears itchy. They probably just need to stretch out a bit. The ear pads are really soft but don’t have a huge amount of cushioning. For the hairless folks out there, these headphones might not be the best choice because there’s no padding on the headband. But they’re very light.

Let’s be clear. The T450BT is pretty bare bones. But the plastic design looks durable enough. I’d be more concerned with the longevity of the ear pads, since they’re made of a very thin leatherette material. The T450BT fold, which is impressive for a $50 pair. Most headphones around this price range only swivel flat. The design is very simple and straightforward to use. You’ve got 4 buttons. One turns the power on/off and automatically brings up the device in your Bluetooth settings. It’s super easy to pair. The other 3 buttons control play/pause, skip and volume. The T450BT have an 11 hour battery life and a wireless range of about 30 feet without obstructions. They also come in black, blue and white.

SOUND – JBL T450BT Wireless On Ear Headphones Review

Wow, I’m impressed! A lack of volume is often an issue with wireless headphones, especially in this price range. But these babies get pretty loud. And the sound quality is great for the price. If you like listening to pop, hip-hop and EDM, you’ll probably love these. In typical JBL fashion, the T450BT have a thumping bass. The lows feel really deep and bouncy. I was expecting these to sound muddy, but the clarity isn’t bad at all. These headphones are also pretty well balanced. They have a nice mid range, making rock choruses nice and full. Listening to classical music, the highs had a nice round tone to them as well. Hmm. Not bad at all!

SUMMARY – JBL T450BT Wireless On Ear Headphones Review

As far as sound goes, these headphones are better quality than many headphones in the $80 price range. So, I was quite surprised. The build quality isn’t excellent, but I think it’s durable enough for reasonable wear and tear. If you’re on a tight budget, you can’t go wrong with the JBL T450BT.
