Are you a musician and tired of carry around 19 pounds amplifiers for your spur of the moment gigs? There’s a small solution. Meet JamStack, the world’s first attachable amplifier.

Meet JamStack,The World’s First Attachable Amplifier

Everyday someone is hosting a jam session in the subway, on the train, at the park, or anywhere that can be used for a show. Lugging around a 19 pound amplifier will definitely take a toll on your back, so for a spur of the moment gig, JamStack is the more portable and simple way to go.

JamStack

The attachable amp weighs in at a mere 2 pounds so it is easily transported in your guitar case. JamStack works by simply clipping onto the base of nearly any guitar (not recommended for Flying V’s though). Two short cords plug into your smartphone and your guitar’s output. Then signals from your pick-ups travel through the output jack on your guitar and are delivered to your phone through the headphone jack or lightning adapter for the iPhone 7. That signal is then modified by your smart phone and travels back down the cable and is amplified by the amp.

Thanks to this simple yet elaborate signal management system, users are able to play their electric guitar along with backing tracks or drum beats without having to tinker with levels. As creator Chris Prendergast further explains, typically guitar amps aren’t able to handle multiple frequencies at one time, so when a musician begins to play, the backing track drops out of the mix. JamStack has been optimized not to do this. In fact, Prendergast adds, “We’ve carefully selected our drivers so when you play, it sounds like you’re right inside the song.” Um, yasssssss!

JamStack also seconds as a solo speaker when it is not connected to your guitar, as it is equipped with Bluetooth functionality. JamStack can be yours by pledging $138 on Kickstarter. The attachable guitar amp will ship to backers in August 2017.
