New Release iFi Audio xDSD Portable DAC

iFi Audio xDSD Award-Winning EISA Headphones & DACs

iFi’s new preamp-amp-DAC combo has raised the bar in what looks like a cross between iFi iOne and iFi micro iDSD Black Label and it kinda is. Introducing iFi Audio xDSD Portable DAC.

New Release iFi Audio xDSD Portable DAC

When it comes to mimicking iOne, xDSD is similar in that it also features Bluetooth functionality supporting high-resolution streaming thanks to aptX HD and AAC codecs. Like the iDSD Black Label, the new xDSD supports MQA (Master Quality Audio) as well as the ability to tailor your music to your liking via the xBass and 3D sound stage features we’ve become accustomed to on many iFi DAC-amp devices.

Here are some of the similar and more advanced features you’ll find in the xDSD:
-Burr-Brown Hi-Res True Native DSD DAC chipset for discerning listeners
-Dual-mono headphone amplifier with 500mW of power per channel, which can unleash the full potential of both 32ohm and 600ohm headphones
-High-resolution audio up to PCM768kHz and DSD512
-MQA ready for playing back all high-res MQA encoded files
-Wireless Bluetooth (aptX and AAC) for CD-quality wireless sound
-S-Balanced compatible 3.5mm headphone output brings the benefits of the balanced connection to single-ended headphones
-Advanced Analogue Signal Process (ASP), 3D+® and XBass+® headphone optimisation circuits
-Pure analogue volume control retaining full-resolution at all volume levels
-Audiophile Digital Filter ‘Measure/Listen’ selectable
-Large 2200mAh Lithium-Polymer battery providing six-to-eight hours of playing time

Pretty sick right?! The unit is quite small for supporting the amount of features that it does, with the rugged magnesium-aluminium body measuring just 3.7in x 2.6in x 0.75in and weighing 0.3lbs.

iFi Audio xDSD Portable DAC is available for pre-order at Audio46.
