Turn any surface into a speaker with Damson Cisor

Browsing the tech section of Indiegogo you’ll find all kinds of cool audio gadgets and one that has recently got peoples’ attention is the very small portable speaker called Cisor by Damson. The special function of this pocket sized tech is it can turn nearly any surface into a speaker. Let’s take a quick look at how this speaker works.

The Cisor portable speaker is a fairly simple concept. First, they created a driver that’s larger than you’d find in most mid size speakers. Second, they eliminated the cone. Yes that’s right, they simply eliminated the traditional speaker cone. Instead you can place the Cisor speaker on any table or desktop and it uses the “Incisor Diffusion Technology” causing the surface to diffuse the sound. Cisor also has an optional suction mount enabling you to attach it to virtually any wood, glass or metal surface. You can see an example of this with the Cisor promo video “How to SoundBomb a bus” where a man literally attaches one to the outside of a bus window causing music to play throughout the entire bus. A clever idea but not recommended to the general public.

This isn’t the limit of the features in the Damson Cisor however. This powerful little device is bluetooth, allowing you to take it virtually anywhere. And using two in tandem will allow you to get fully functional wireless stereo. Plus the frequency range is as low as 30 Hz and as high as 15 kHz (depending on the surface). Pretty darn cool.

The Damson Cisor portable speaker is currently up on Indiegogo for purchase in several different packages. There’s only 3 days left and they’ve already reached over 700% of their anticipated goal. Hopefully the UK based manufacturer can keep up with this steep demand. Better get to ordering yours today. It’s also available on Amazon.
