New Release V-Moda Crossfade II Wireless Headphones

The second generation Crossfade has made small improvements to their popular Crossfade headphones which reportedly make quite the difference. The first is the box. The headphones are said to ship in a “sleek black and orange box.” When it comes to the build of the new V-Moda Crossfade II wireless headphones, potential users can expect a slight modification to the ear cushions. They’re now larger in size with “bliss memory foam.” This enhancement is intended to provide better sound isolation and retention. This would mean a much better auditory experience than its predecessor. The sound of the new Crossfade’s are described as quality audio offering “lifelike vocals, crystal clear cymbals and crispy hi-hats with an ultra hi-res sparkle and velocity” along with a wide soundstage and bass that is precise “without bloated boom[s] or muddy mids.”

This pristine sound is all thanks to new drivers built into those futuristic-looking cans. The ear cups hold 50 mm dual-diaphragm driver (patent pending) that are comprised of inner and outer rings which separate the bass and keep it from bleeding into the mids and highs. Nice! But of course, we will know for sure once we get our hands on these babies and give them a go. Regardless, the cans sound like they will be a great cable-free companion.

The headphones are wireless and have a better battery life than their predecessor. The bigger battery in the second generation Crossfade’s allow for a 15% longer lifespan and up to 14 hours of use.

P.S. These headphones are available in white or black at $330 and rose gold at $350. The rose gold edition features Bluetooth with aptX for even better audio quality.

V-Moda Crossfade II wireless headphones are available now on V-Moda’s website.
