The wirless Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT announced by the Japanese audio giant boasts a whopping 40-hour battery life. Utilizing micro-USB charging over USB-C, this design choice keeps the price of the new ATH-M50xBT at an affordable $200.  At this price, the M50xBT easily competes with other wireless models from Sennheiser, Bose, and Sony.

Running on Bluetooth 5 protocols and supporting AAC and aptX codecs, the ATH-M50xBT also supports Siri and Google Assistant. The M50xBT marks the manufacturer’s first wireless professional monitor, with the drivers built on the same design found in the original M50x.

Released way back in 2014, the Audio Technica ATH-M50x was sonic sensation that took the headphone community by storm, offering casual listeners and working professionals alike a headphone that offered impressive sound in a rough-and-ready package.

Now, dedicated fans and new converts to the M50x can enjoy the same signature sound in a wireless headphone.   However, for those who still prefer a wired listening experience, the M50xBT will also include AUX cables with a built-in mic and remote.
