Clarity Speaker with Alexa and OK Google

This looks to be one of the coolest gadgets to hit a crowdfunding platform, IMHO. Clarity speaker aims to merge all of your favorite features of a smart wireless device into one.

Clarity Speaker with Alexa and OK Google

Clarity speaker is like no other speaker, according to the company’s crowdfunding campaign. Clarity has the ability to merge the best features of Amazon Echo, iPad, or any basic wireless tablet or speaker together in a portable frame. If you think about it, as we move closer to the IoT and wireless everything, the next step is to get as many commands from various devices controlled by a single device. But it’s difficult to do so when smart devices run on different operating systems. However, it looks like Clarity speaker is trying to meet us somewhere in the middle allowing for the functionality of a wireless speaker, internet radio, and Android tablet in one.
The 7″ multi-touch screen can be used for streaming movies, while the 2 megapixel camera and 1280 x 800 resolution allows for video calls or photo sessions. A number of other functionalities can be performed via WiFi or Bluetooth 4.0. In addition, Access to Alexa and OK Google means life will get a whole lot simpler. Ask a question or command of either voice-activated assistant and it will be done via Clarity as if on any smart phone or Echo speaker.

If you are wondering about the specifications of each feature built into the system it is as follows. A quad-core processor is the central processing unit. Running with a Li-Poly battery of 1600 mAh, expect to use Clarity for up to 6 hours of music playback or 2.5 hours of video playback. Your audio is handled by two 5W speakers complete with a sound chamber to produce what the company calls “superb audio quality.”
Also, Clarity weighs a mere 2 pounds making it ultra portable. It comes equipped with a stand. If interested in checking out this speaker head over to Indiegogo and pledge $149 to receive it with a 1-year warranty. Orders will ship to backers in June 2017.
