Cork Speaker Up-Cycles Old Bottles Into Speakers
Cork is essentially a super tiny unit that uses Bluetooth 4.1 to boost sound. It uses one of two cradles to attach itself to various bottles, either a plug or a cradle. This re-purposes the bottles as a means of increasing the volume of your music. You know all those empty wine and beer bottles laying around your apartment? Voila, they now have a new life.
Take a look at Cork speaker in action down below.
Powering on and pairing Cork with your smart device seems rather simple, as the speaker consists of a single button. An LED light that blinks either red, blue, or green indicates Cork is charging, working, or charged. Via Bluetooth, Cork speaker is able to keep the party going until 6 in the morning thanks to a 12 hour battery life. The speaker also provides quality sound over a frequency range of 20 to 20,000 Hertz. Feel free to throw this baby in any purse or backpack before party time as the tiny unit measures 2.52″x2.12″x2.12″ and weighs 2.68 ounces.
Cork speaker is available in four colorways (fog silver, ghost white, red wine, smoky black) and is available for purchase on Kickstarter with a few units left at $43 before jumping to $48. This campaign ends December 2, so act fast! Orders ship December 2016.
