We’ve seen a ton of truly wireless earbuds emerging on the market, thank you start-up tech companies, but now we’ve got a mainstay stepping up to the plate. Samsung announced Thursday they will soon be selling a pair of sport-centric wireless earbuds.

The bite-size wearables are designed to keep track of your fitness by monitoring your activity and giving you real-time updates. Users can receive info on their heart rate, pace, duration of workout, calories burned, and distance ran, all with the touch of the smart button on the end of the earbuds. Data from you workout can be transferred and reviewed via Bluetooth and pairing with the accompanying phone app, S Health application.

The earbuds are fashioned to work independently, but remain synced to one another. That means each earbud can play music on its own, but it will be in time with the other. Each buds can retain up to 4GB of internal memory which is around 1000 songs or songs can be played form your paired mobile device. Either way, wearer’s can tap or swipe the buds to adjust the volume, switch between tracks, and take calls. A plus for those who workout outdoors or enjoy running, the buds are built with an ambient The IconX is wirelessly changed in a portable carry case which should supply two additional charges once the in-ear buds are placed inside.

Fashioned to stay put during any workout, these Samsung earbuds are tiny, lightweight, and ergonomically designed to do so. The Samsung Gear IconX is available in blue, white or black and will be sold for $199 (cheaper than some start-up alternatives… Bragi Dash) later this summer.
