With the help of millenials and Gen-Z, aka the current and next generation of shoppers, Target has launched their own brand of headphone and electronics called Target Heyday, this weekend.
Target Heyday is Store’s Own Headphone and Electronics Brand
The line consists of Target-designed electronics and accessories that are now available at Target.com, with many items hovering around the $20 price point. Customers can expect palm-printed cellphone cases, durable braided teal Lightning chargers, an Apple-looking wristwatch, minimal-style headphones, and so much more. In fact, Target launched over 150 tech gadgets and accessories. They advised that their decision to create the fun-looking electronics brand was influenced by their young clientele since tech is such a huge part of their everyday lives. to do so, Target’s in-house product design and development team sought out to understand how tech powers millenials’ lives, the latest trends in fashion, beauty, and pop culture to ultimately designing an entire line of stylish, reliable accessories that guests can be proud to wear every day.
“Target is known for creating exclusive brands that are stylish, inspirational and affordable. When we looked at the current options our guests had in electronics, we saw an opportunity to apply some of that magic, taking tech from purely functional to fashionable and fun,” says Mark Tritton, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Target. “With the introduction of Heyday—our first internally designed and developed brand in electronics—we’re giving guests another reason to choose Target, with quality, value and style they won’t find anywhere else.”
Target Heyday features earbuds and headphones that come in stylish colors and accents with wireless and wired options. Wired headsets include braided and flat cords that prevent tangling. Millenials and Gen-Z are also always multitasking so Target Heyday includes cables with a mic and controller as well as a balance weight for a more comfortable fit while commuting and working out. Earbuds start at $9.99 and headphones at $49.99.
Target Heyday also has wireless speakers that are pretty cute and perfectly portable starting at $19.99. They’re also waterproof (submerged up to 1 meter in water) so they can easily go from beach to gym to shower.
Target Heyday is available at Target.com and in-stores.
