Thor: Ragnarok Trailer Is Finally Here But It’s Missing Something

After spending a good six years with the prince of Asgard – between the films Thor and Thor: The Dark World as well as very entertaining by glimpses of the statuesque god on vacay (Board Shorts Thor clip 1 and clip 2) while everyone else was duking it out in Captain America: Civil War last year – I became attached to his sculpted physique, aloof yet comical demeanor, and mostly his flowing gold locks. To my dismay, I’ve come to find they’ve been nixed in the first full-length trailer for the Taika Waititi directed Thor: Ragnarok. Wahhh!

Thor: Ragnarok Trailer Is Finally Here But It’s Missing Something

But despite the loss of Thor’s glimmering tresses, his physique and humor remain. Yes! This film produced by Marvel Comics and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures details the journey of Thor back to Asgard after being held captive on the planet of Sakaar without his hammer thanks to the evil Hela. In the time being, he must battle his old friend or “coworker” rather, The Hulk, in a duel before he can return to Asgard, defeat Hela, and save his people from Ragnarok, which is complete destruction of Asgard and the rest of civilization in Norse mythology.

The nearly two-minute long trailer gives glimpses to interesting costumes, brilliant set designs, and some of our favorite Marvel cast members including Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Idris Elba (Heimdall), and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) as well as new faces, like Tessa Thompson playing Valkyrie and Cate Blanchett as Hela.

Thor: Ragnarok is slated for release November 3, 2017.
