Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is literally the man. He can star in any genre of film and it’s a certified money maker (whether its actually good or not). He’s also super ripped and super into his workouts which makes his collaboration with Under Armour a great idea and launching his own workout headphones a brilliant one. Introducing Under Armour Project Rock Headphones.

Under Armour Project Rock Headphones to be Released Thursday

Johnson took to his Instagram to announce to his 108 million IG followers that he’s releasing a pair of cans perfect for fitness fiends and those who just love The Rock. The over-ear headphones, which are pictured on the actor in the gym, are reportedly two years in the making. Without giving too many of the details away, the movie star explains his difficulty finding a pair of over-ear workout headphones that serve in terms of sound and can survive the intensity of an intense workout sesh. The caption reads:

“Like you, my gym time is critical.
It’s our time to shut the world out and anchor in.
I prefer training in “over the ear” headphones, but have been consistently disappointed (pissed is a better word) with every pair, from every brand that just couldn’t handle my workouts.
I thought if no one is going to design headphones BUILT FOR TRAINING, then I would.”

Johnson, whose newest movie Skyscraper hits theaters next month, announced that the headphone will officially drop on Thursday as part of his collaboration with Under Armour. Like the rest of the apparel that are part of UA Project Rock, the headphones will feature a bull embossed into the center. No word on the price, but if they are water resistant or water proof and sound any good, I’m guessing a price northwards of $250 at the very least. Guess we will all know soon.
