How so? Since most cables are made in mass production, data and power cables are churned out together, meaning those cables weren’t made with love, but rather a lack in ensuring that those cables are made to perform at their absolute potential and subsequently yielding a negative impact on USB signal integrity which degrades sound quality. Ugh!

iFi Gemini3.0 (dual-headed USB cable) and Mercury3.0 (single-headed USB cable) are specially designed with quadruple shielding to fully separate and protect the delicate USB data signal from USB power. They both use Oxygen-free high thermal conductivity continuous copper silver matrix conductors for the best possible signal transfer. The design is also of a special construction “that protects the cable from RFI and EMI noise to provide the cleanest transfer medium possible.”

iFi Gemini3.0 and Mercury3.0 are both USB 3.0 cables. Which provide a smoother path for signals to flow through, meaning less-jittery audio and power transfer, for much smoother audio. Gemini3.0 and Mercury3.0 have an ultra-speed bandwidth of 5.0Gbps.

The two USB cables are also built with end-to-end RF shielding that’s machined entirely from solid, aircraft-grade aluminium along with gold-plated connections which make for a super sturdy product. In addition, both cables were built to also handle RF issues, possessing three custom-made metal oxide ceramic RF noise silencers. As iFi explains, “Each has a different effective range so that they greatly broaden the range over which RF noise is silenced. Furthermore, the middle silencer is adjustable and can be moved along the whole length of the cable. This then ‘detunes’ the antennae formed by the cable, depending on the conditions and requirements in the system. The other 2 silencers should be kept as close to each respective end as possible.”

P.S. Both of these headphones are compatible with the iGalvanic3.0.
