beamit Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter & Receiver

beamit is a wireless Bluetooth audio transmitter and receiver that can stream HiFi audio directly to any Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

beamit Wireless Bluetooth Audio Transmitter & Receiver

beamit is a talented little object. It has the ability to act as a receiver that streams high quality audio wirelessly from any Bluetooth enabled smartphone, computer or tablet to any headphones, music system, or powered speakers. This means your wireless headphones can be used to watch television without disturbing other family members who are studying or working nearby. I come from a big family, so this would be very helpful.

As a transmitter, beamit can stream audio from a non-Bluetooth device to any Bluetooth audio receiver that supports the A2DP Bluetooth profile, like a Bluetooth headphone or Bluetooth speaker.

A primary issue with many wireless audio systems is the lag between audio and video. beamit is compatible with aptX LOW LATENCY technology to reduce that lag down to less than 40 ms for a smoother viewing experience. It also uses high quality aptX LOW LATENCY audio streaming codec and digital TOSLINK connection to stream audio to up to two Bluetooth headphones or speakers simultaneously.

Using Bluetooth 4.1 technology, the transmitter-receiver is said to stream clear, distortion-free digital audio from your TV, cellphone, iPad, or laptop to Bluetooth enabled headphones, speakers, and any other enabled receivers up to 33 feet away.

The tiny unit is designed to to be used with both old and new devices, built with both digital and analog audio Inputs and Outputs including, 3.5mm AUX audio out, 5V/500mA, and Digital Optical Audio ports. Moreover, with the flip of a switch, the unit easily toggles back and forth between acting as a transmitter and receiver.

Fashioned by auris, beamit comes to us from the makers of BluMe, a successfully crowdfunded HiFi wireless music receiver.

Those interested in beamit can purchase it via Kickstarter starting at an affordable $39.
