These smart headphones are perfect for commuters boasting everything from wireless wear to self-pausing music. Meet BB Air headphones.
BB Air Headphones: Self-Pausing and Interchangeable
You know when someone comes by your desk or you run into a friend on the street and you have to take off your headphones, but you leave the music playing because it is too much of a hassle to fumble for your phone and press pause? Well, BB Air has a solution. Their interchangeable over-ear, on-ear headphones are designed to do just that. Their headphones will pause your music when it is taken off of your head and resume when placed back on. Cool!
Secondly, BB Air allows for interchangeable ear cups. The larger, on-ear cushions are designed to be used for studio monitoring and production while the smaller, on-ear design is a better fit when traveling.
The cushions look to be made of a leather-like material, which should be pretty comfortable. The overall body is made of oil finished rubber plastic for a durable build. The top of the headband features a silicone patch that can be personalized with any font you so desire. The ear cups are fashioned with the BB Air logo disguising the wireless smart controls. That’s right, these headphones are Bluetooth capable. Pressing the center of the right ear cup will play or pause your music, while pressing the forward right or back left side of the ear cup will forward or skip back one track, respectively. Pressing the top or bottom of the ear cup will adjust the volume. The headphones hold a built-in microphone. Using Bluetooth 4.0 technology with aptX codec the headphones should provide a quality connection up to 33 feet.
The inside of the ear cups contain 40 mm drivers. BB Air headphones reach a frequency response between 20 – 20,000 Hertz on an impedance of 30 ohms. Wireless playback should run for up to an impressive 12 meters and take a mere one hour to charge. Honestly, this may be the longest run time and turn around charge time I’ve seen for a wireless device. Nice!
Interested in snagging a pair? BB Air is currently running a Kickstarter campaign until August 3. There are still a few pairs of BB Air headphones left at the super early bird special of $97.
