The smallest member of JBL’s portable speaker line is getting an upgrade. Meet JBL Clip 3, revamped and ready for anything.

New Release JBL Clip 3

The new iteration of the Clip portable speaker has been optimized to achieve better battery life, durability, and sound quality.

How so? By design, the new JBL Clip 3 carabiner takes on a different shape than that of the Clip 2. Described as “next level,” the linear-style carabiner frames the entire perimeter of the speaker and acts as a bumper. The inside of the carabiner is also fit with a JBL patterned-rubber lining, giving the speaker the ability to grip onto slippery surfaces.

The speaker is still water resistant at one of the highest IP ratings, and that’s at IPX7. So this too can take a dip (for up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of water) along with the JBL Flip 4,  Boombox, and recently launched Xtreme 2.

Also, like the Xtreme 2, JBL Clip 3 has been built with an echo and noise cancelling speakerphone, people will be able to use the Clip 3 to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth and make crystal-clear calls. Thanks to a now extended battery life you’ll e able to do all of this and listen to music for up to 10 hours.

“It’s always exciting when we’re able to bring new generations of customer favorites to life. The JBL Clip 3 showcases a contemporary design that provides the same JBL Signature Sound people love, in the form of a small, compact and portable speaker,” said Andy Tsui, Vice President, Smart Audio Business Unit, HARMAN.

JBL Clip 3 will be available for $59.95 in a number of different colors, including 3 new shades (Dusty Pink, Steel White, and Ocean Blue) in Spring 2018.
