Grado Labs has officially announced the Signature S750 headphones, the latest entry in its acclaimed Signature Line. As the third model following the award-winning Signature HP100 SE and Signature S950, the new S750 continues Grado’s legacy of uncompromising sound quality, artisanal craftsmanship, and user-centered design.
Handcrafted in Brooklyn, NY, the S750 introduces an all-new driver architecture, improved comfort system, and refined materials, all while staying true to the house sound that has defined Grado for decades.
S2 Driver: A Ground-Up Redesign for Natural, Dynamic Sound
At the core of the Grado Signature S750 is the brand-new 50mm S2 driver, a complete reengineering of Grado’s dynamic transducer design. The diaphragm combines carbon fiber and paper composites for optimal stiffness and damping, paired with a lightweight copper-plated aluminum voice coil.
This construction yields a sound that’s balanced, natural, and richly detailed, offering a wide dynamic range and lifelike imaging. The S2 driver represents the next evolution in Grado’s sonic philosophy, preserving the musicality the brand is known for, while extending precision and depth across the frequency spectrum.
With a frequency response of 6Hz–46kHz and total harmonic distortion under 0.2%, the S750 aims to deliver studio-grade transparency suitable for both audiophiles and professional listening environments.
Handcrafted Aluminum Housing: Lighter and More Durable
Each pair of S750 headphones is crafted from solid aluminum, machined and finished by hand at Grado’s Brooklyn workshop. Despite the premium build, the headphone weighs just 460 grams, over 10% lighter than the HP100 SE, achieving the perfect balance between rigidity, durability, and long-term comfort.
The All-New Grado B Cushion: A Leap in Comfort and Acoustic Performance
Debuting alongside the S750 is the new Grado B cushion, designed to enhance both ergonomics and acoustic tuning. The B cushion reduces ear-to-driver distance and introduces a smaller interior pocket that subtly reshapes the sound signature for a more intimate, focused presentation.
Eight precision-engineered vent slits improve airflow, expanding the soundstage while maintaining clarity. The flat surface design evenly distributes pressure across the ear, minimizing fatigue during long listening sessions.
Upgraded Signature Gold Cable: Softer, Lighter, and Fully Detachable
Like its predecessors, the Grado S750 features a detachable cable system, now upgraded to the new Signature Gold braided cable. The 6-foot, 12-conductor cable terminates in a 6.3mm single-ended plug and connects to each earcup via 4-pin balanced mini-XLR connectors.
The cable’s enhanced insulation and flexibility improve handling and reduce microphonics, while the modular design supports balanced configurations via optional 4.4mm or 4-pin XLR terminations. This system ensures compatibility with both home and professional audio setups.
Refined Comfort and Robust Engineering
The leather headband carries over from the HP100 SE and S950, maintaining 50% more padding than traditional Grado models. It’s slightly narrower but optimized for weight distribution and comfort.
Durability is also at the forefront of the design, featuring engraved aluminum gimbals, stainless steel height rods, and reinforced aluminum junction blocks. The 105° rotational limit minimizes wear while maintaining flexibility for a secure, personalized fit.
