In 2024, the brand is elevating its offerings with limited-edition color models that satisfy audiophiles’ ears and their eyes.
Since 2020, Audio-Technica has engaged its community through the “M50x Series Limited-Edition Color Voting.” This initiative invites fans worldwide to participate in choosing colors for limited-edition models. Building on this concept, Audio-Technica launched the LAB M50x website in January 2024, encouraging fans to submit their own color designs. This innovative approach led to an impressive 14,560 submissions from fans. Participants could select from an array of matte and metallic colors, customizing different headphone parts.
After a thorough selection process, an expert panel narrowed it down to three finalists. The winning design, submitted by Sergio Gamarra, a DJ from Bolivia, was ultimately chosen by a public vote. His design features a captivating combination of blue, orange, and gray—colors that hold significant meaning:
- Blue: Represents confidence and reliability.
- Orange: Evokes energy and creativity.
- Gray: Adds sophistication and modernity to the overall look.
The new ATH-M50x LAB and ATH-M50xBT2 LAB models will be available in limited quantities for 2024. These headphones promise to deliver not just outstanding sound quality but also a unique visual identity, making them a must-have for any music enthusiast.
