Let’s take a quick departure from audio to talk about an audio and visual sensory experience brought to you by Bang & Olufsen. Meet B&O Beovision 14 TV in 4K.

At CES last year we saw numerous upgrades to televisions sets, with many models going 4K. B&O definitely got the memo as they’ve created a 4K television boasting the same premium look and feel of their headphone collections.

Beovision 14 is a 4K Ultra HD LED TV that is completely integrated with the best features in connectivity, and viewing and listening technology. The 40 inch (and 55 inch) model is fashioned with built-in three-way speakers designed to deliver impactful bass and acoustic power with accuracy, as described by B&O. The speakers have three different settings depending on your listening style: Film Mode to experience a larger sound stage with more bass response and Night Listening Mode which tweaks the audio to avoid disturbing those around you. In addition, the TV has the ability to connect with other speakers, wired or wireless, to create an even more immersive sound experience.

This TV isn’t all about the audio, the display is just as important and this is where 4K comes into play. 4K means the visuals will be crystal clear. The screen also features anti-reflection coated front glass on both sides in order to give an optimal viewing experience even when sunlight is glaring onto the screen. Moreover, viewers can choose from two different viewing options: Film Mode for when you are looking for that particular color and temperature a film director intended for you to see in their movie and Game Mode, where the input-to-output delay is reduced to a minimum making sure you get an immersive image response when playing your favorite video games.

B&O Beovision 14 wouldn’t be complete with out a few snazzy aesthetics, like the breathable oak wood lamellas on the front which cover the three-way speakers, in addition to a motorized floor stand which makes the television subtly come to life and gently turn towards you. Nice!

Beovision 14 is available in a 40″model and 55″ model for $6700 and $9300, respectively, in Europe. A U.S. release is expected soon.
