Portland-based audio brand Campfire Audio is celebrating ten years of in-ear monitor (IEM) production with the release of its most ambitious model yet: the Andromeda 10 SE. The new special edition will make its first public showing at CanJam SoCal on September 13–14, 2025, giving enthusiasts an early opportunity to experience the next evolution of the iconic Andromeda line.
Expanded 10-Driver Design
The Andromeda 10 builds on the legacy of the original Andromeda by introducing a new ten-balanced armature configuration. This design features four low drivers, four mid drivers, and two high drivers, delivering improved technical performance while retaining the Andromeda’s signature sound. Listeners can expect greater clarity, detail, and balance across the entire frequency spectrum.
Distinctive SE Design vs. Base Model
The Andromeda 10 SE distinguishes itself with premium design elements that elevate both form and function. Instead of anodized aluminum in the classic Andromeda green, the SE model uses PVD stainless steel housings topped with genuine Damascus steel lids available in either gold or black. This choice of materials not only enhances durability but also adds a unique, artisanal finish.
In addition to its housing, the cable included with the Andromeda 10 SE is a bespoke design created specifically for this model. Featuring eight conductors of 7N OCC gold-plated copper, it was engineered to maximize performance while visually complementing the SE’s black and gold aesthetic. By contrast, the base model comes with Campfire’s Time Link modular cable.
The SE model also ships with a premium off-white large leather zipper case and a beige Breezy Micro pouch, while the base version comes in a rich green case paired with a matching green pouch. Even the packaging reflects the unique identity of each edition, with color-coded foil stamping and external labels for easy distinction.
Premium Cable Design
A highlight of the Andromeda 10 SE is its custom cable, which was developed in-house by Campfire Audio’s design team to achieve both sonic and aesthetic synergy. With eight gold-plated copper conductors braided in black and gold, the cable not only enhances audio performance but also underscores the SE’s luxurious presentation.
