IMHO, this is a seriously cool device. The Cannonball audio features an IPX grade of 7 meaning it is perfectly safe to take a dip in the pool or go surfing with you as it can withstand allows being submerged up to 1 meter in water for 30 minutes.
Cannonball Audio  promises their floating speaker is engineered using hard-grade and durable materials, including a rubberized shock absorbing cover. The exterior also features a microUSB/auxiliary port for charging. The interior features a 5 Watt full range speaker driver and an amp chip with a maximum power of 6.3 Watts. The 4000mAh battery requires 3 hours of charging to supply up to 8 hours of playtime.  The speaker is able to provide audio while floating because it is counterbalanced to supply the best audio direction and surround sound while floating. The speaker possess Bluetooth 4.2 technology to pair with an audio source up to 33 feet away.
You may be wondering if Cannonball can be used out of water and it in fact can. Thanks to a patent pending design, the spherical speaker is able to sit still when out of water, meaning it can also be used to play music in your home and a main source of audio for conference calls in the office.
