New Release CES 2018 Audeze iSine LX for $199

Audeze iSine LX

Audeze has surprised us with a new addition to their iSine line and this one sits just under the $200 price point. I know. I’m excited too. Meet Audeze iSine LX.

New Release CES 2018 Audeze iSine LX for $199

The new addition to the iSine line-up is a semi-open back planar magnetic earphone. It is similar to that of the iSine10 and iSine20, but rather than feature the signature grill exterior, the Audeze iSine LX is designed with small circular vents to deliver sound that is pure, rich, and basically distortion-free at less than 0.1% at 100dB. It features Neodymium N50 magnets inside 30mm planar magnetic drivers. Operating at an impedance of 16 ohms these earphones produce a frequency response between 10Hz-50kHz.

Like the two earphones that came before it, the LX comes equipped with over-ear hooks to secure the buds and includes a detachable cable. Thanks to this feature, those interested in converting their audio signal through a DAC can purchase the LX with a Cipher Lightning cable. It uses an integral DAC and amplifier to deliver stellar audio and enhanced audio quality. The Cipher Lightning cable also features an in-line remote and mic that can be used to take calls, navigate your playlists, pause and play your music, in addition to accessing Siri.

Audeze iSine LX will retail for $199 and cost $60 more for the Cipher Lightning cable.

About Audeze: Audeze feature proprietary planar magnetic designs with extremely thin-film driver materials and powerful custom magnets. Planars overcome many limitations inherent in typical cone drivers; our lightweight diaphragms are, for example, faster and more responsive than heavier moving-coil or dome drivers. The planar magnetic diaphragm also have a voice-coil circuit spread across the diaphragm surface. The diaphragm’s voice-coil circuit interacts with the magnetic field to produce an electromagnetic force that moves the diaphragm back and forth creating the sound you hear when energized by an audio signal.
