Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has announced the launch of Fender Studio, a new brand that unifies its professional music creation software and recording hardware under the iconic Fender name. Beginning this year, PreSonus Studio One Pro becomes Fender Studio Pro, while the popular Quantum and AudioBox Go interfaces transition to the Fender Quantum Series and Fender AudioBox Go.
The move represents a major evolution in Fender’s digital strategy, combining the long-trusted performance of PreSonus recording tools with Fender’s legacy of tone, amp design, and musical expression.
Fender Studio Pro 8: The Next Evolution of Studio One
At the heart of the announcement is Fender Studio Pro 8, the newly reimagined version of Studio One Pro. While the name changes, Fender emphasizes that this is far more than a rebrand. The software introduces a modernized interface, faster workflows, and deep integration with authentic Fender amp and effects models.
New features include a Channel Overview for streamlined mixing, updated samplers, and AI-powered Audio-to-Note conversion, allowing recorded audio to be transformed into editable MIDI with a single click. Songwriting tools have also expanded with Chord Assistant technology, designed to inspire harmonic exploration and faster composition.
Exclusive to Fender Studio Pro are the Mustang and Rumble Native plugins, offering 57 guitar and bass amp models along with hundreds of effects, bringing Fender’s renowned tone directly into the DAW.
Built-In Fender Tone: Amp and Effects Modeling Inside the DAW
One of the most significant upgrades in Fender Studio Pro is the native integration of Fender’s amp and effects technology. Artists, producers, and engineers can now access authentic Fender amp models without relying on third-party plugins, creating a seamless tone-shaping experience from tracking to final mix.
GRAMMY-nominated producer and artist Alissia described the integration as transformative, noting that having authentic Fender amps and pedals built directly into the DAW delivers true analog warmth while maintaining a fluid, uninterrupted workflow.
Fender Studio App 1.2 Expands Mobile and Desktop Creation
Alongside Studio Pro 8, Fender introduced Fender Studio App version 1.2, a free companion app available on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Designed for recording, practice, and songwriting on the go, Fender Studio allows users to capture ideas with a single tap using authentic Fender amp models.
A new Transmit feature enables sessions created in Fender Studio to be seamlessly sent to Fender Studio Pro 8, bridging mobile creativity with full-scale studio production. Additional updates include a Chord Track, chord detection from recorded audio, and a new Drum Metronome with over 75 grooves.
Fender Quantum Series Interfaces: Hardware Meets Software
Fender also unveiled a refreshed lineup of recording hardware under the Fender Quantum Series banner. These interfaces are designed for seamless integration with Fender Studio Pro, offering low-latency performance, MAX-HD microphone preamps, Fender-optimized instrument inputs, and flexible routing options.
The Fender Quantum LT Series targets home studios and mobile creators, while the higher-end Fender Quantum HD Series delivers 32-bit / 192 kHz converters, DSP monitor mixing, Auto Gain, re-amping outputs, and ADAT expansion for professional studios.
The compact Fender AudioBox Go remains a portable, bus-powered 2×2 interface ideal for musicians, podcasters, and content creators who need reliable recording anywhere inspiration strikes.
MyFender Platform Replaces MyPreSonus
Starting immediately, all existing PreSonus customers will transition to the new MyFender platform, which replaces MyPreSonus. The platform will serve not only Fender Studio users, but also Fender guitar, amp, and effects customers, creating a unified support and registration experience across the Fender ecosystem.
Importantly, Fender confirmed that the PreSonus brand will continue to operate within FMIC, maintaining its focus on products such as Eris monitors, StudioLive mixers, and Air loudspeakers, with continued updates and customer support.
A Glimpse of Fender Studio in Action
To showcase the new ecosystem, Fender released a collaboration video featuring Nile Rodgers and Alissia, filmed at the legendary Power Station at BerkleeNYC. The video demonstrates the creative process from initial idea to polished production using Fender Studio Pro, highlighting the platform’s songwriting, recording, and production tools in a real-world studio environment.
Fender Studio Signals the Future of Music Creation
With Fender Studio, FMIC brings together decades of innovation in instruments, amplifiers, software, and pro audio hardware into a single, integrated creative ecosystem. Anchored by Fender Studio Pro, Fender Quantum interfaces, and upcoming Fender Motion Controllers, the brand represents Fender’s vision for the future of music creation, where tradition and technology work together to keep artists focused on what matters most: making music.
