Fender Studio has announced Fender Studio Pro 8.1, the latest update to its award-winning digital audio workstation. Designed to make the creative process faster and more intuitive, this new release introduces a range of modern production tools, including an in-DAW Studio Assistant, native pitch correction, improved stem separation, and a first-of-its-kind integration with Moises Studio.
With this update, Fender Studio Pro continues to expand its role as a complete music production platform for songwriters, producers, composers, engineers, and creators. The focus of version 8.1 is clear: reduce workflow interruptions, improve creative flexibility, and help users move from an initial idea to a finished track more efficiently.
Studio Assistant Brings Real-Time Guidance Inside the DAW
One of the biggest additions in Fender Studio Pro 8.1 is Studio Assistant, a natural-language assistant built directly into the DAW. Rather than forcing users to leave their session to search through documentation, tutorials, or online support, Studio Assistant provides real-time answers and technical direction inside the creative workspace.
Studio Assistant is now available as a public beta for Fender Studio Pro+ users. It is designed to help with workflow questions, technical guidance, and production support without interrupting the creative flow.
Fender Studio Pro 8.1 Adds Moises Studio Integration
Fender Studio Pro 8.1 also introduces direct Moises Studio integration, giving users access to advanced AI-powered music tools directly inside the DAW. Through this integration, creators can transform vocals, generate accompanying tracks from their own recordings, and separate stems from existing audio.
The Moises Studio integration is available to all Fender Studio Pro 8.1 users and includes 10 audio stem separations, 120 stem generations, and five voice conversions per month at no extra cost. For musicians and producers, this opens up new ways to practice, remix, rework demos, and develop unfinished ideas without leaving the production environment. Artist, producer, and songwriter Josh Cumbee praised the workflow benefits, saying, “Anything that keeps me in-DAW versus breaking focus for a web browser, like the new Moises integration, is a welcome addition.”
New Vocal Tune Plug-In Offers Native Pitch Correction
Another major feature in Fender Studio Pro 8.1 is the new Vocal Tune plug-in. This native pitch correction tool gives creators detailed control over vocal performances, ranging from subtle, transparent tuning to more stylized vocal effects.
The plug-in also includes formant shifting, allowing users to shape vocal tone while keeping the emotion and character of the performance intact. For producers working with vocals, podcasts, demos, or full studio tracks, Vocal Tune adds an important tool directly into the Fender Studio Pro workflow.
Pitch Curves, Audio-to-Note, and Stem Separation Improvements
Fender Studio Pro 8.1 also expands its editing and production capabilities with several performance-focused upgrades. Pitch Curves on Audio Events allow users to draw pitch changes directly onto audio clips with automation-style control. This gives producers a more musical way to create bends, shape vocal phrasing, or make precise pitch edits.
Native stem separation has also been improved, with faster processing and a reduced system footprint. Since the processing remains local to the user’s machine, creators can separate stems more efficiently while keeping their workflow contained within the DAW. Audio-to-Note conversion has been enhanced as well, with improved detection, expanded drum support, and better overall conversion performance. This makes it easier to turn recorded ideas into MIDI parts for editing, arranging, or layering with virtual instruments.
Expanded Scoring, Sound Variations, and Browser Workflow
For composers and producers working with notation or detailed instrument programming, Fender Studio Pro 8.1 brings expanded scoring and Sound Variations improvements. New articulation-based timing offsets, combined articulation conditions, and deeper Score Editor functionality help make programmed performances feel more realistic and precise.
The browser workflow has also been refined with reorderable tabs and a customizable layout. This lets users organize their workspace around the tools, sounds, and files they access most often. Shared Virtual Instrument Sets further improve efficiency by making core instruments available across sessions without repeated loading or setup. This reduces system strain and helps users move between projects more quickly.
Dolby Atmos Headphone Personalization Supports Spatial Mixing
Fender Studio Pro 8.1 adds Dolby Atmos Headphone Personalization, allowing users to create personalized headphone profiles for Dolby Atmos mixing. This feature is designed to improve spatial and timbral accuracy, giving creators a more consistent monitoring experience when working on immersive audio mixes through headphones. For producers, engineers, and composers working in spatial audio, this update adds another layer of precision to the Fender Studio Pro environment.
