As a result, we turn up the volume in hopes of hearing more of our music, but that in fact leads to cracking, hiss, and/or pops thanks in our audio (as well as possible damage to our hair cells) thanks to a mismatch between too much power from the smartphone/DAP when used with headphones which are high sensitivity.
