New Release iFi Ear Buddy, Headphone Hissing Be Gone!

iFi Ear Buddy

Did you know when you’re using your headphones and a digital player there’s a good chance you’re missing out on some of your audio? In fact, not only are you not getting what you paid for, but you’re given a little extra – like unwanted hissing. iFi Ear Buddy is here to rescue us from this all too common issue.

New Release iFi Ear Buddy, Headphone Hissing Be Gone!

Ear Buddy is a bite-sized solution to a big audio problem. Essentially, all mobile devices and digital players allow users to control the volume. According to iFi, normal listening volumes are about 50 percent (give or take), but at this level our digital audio is actually streaming at 14-bit rather than 16. Even though its sounds “good”, it’s not all that we could be getting. As a result, we turn up the volume in hopes of hearing more of our music, but that in fact leads to cracking, hiss, and/or pops thanks in our audio (as well as possible damage to our hair cells) thanks to a mismatch between too much power from the smartphone/DAP when used with headphones which are high sensitivity. No bueno! iFi Ear Buddy works to get us all our music at a volume that is both safe and enjoyable for our ears.

iFi Ear Buddy attenuates the signal so it cuts out the hiss. It also adjusts the volume to allows you to crank up the digital volume on your smartphone or DAP without painful consequences! This equals more music information being conveyed and gives you back those 2-bits and some! Well, not really… just the absolute best in your music.

iFi Ear Buddy costs $20 and ships with an airline adapter, ear plugs, and pouch.
