This stand is built to look just as polished and durable as your audiophile grade cans. How so? Well, the Avant headphone stand is comprised of precision engineered aircraft-grade aluminum – basically it can travel to the moon and back, in my mind. I’ve unboxed a black finish Avant stand to find it requires assembly, though quick and painless. There are four polished pieces to the hanger consisting of a radial brush base that is padded on the bottom. There is also a CD grain, and 2 poles. TBH, these pieces were each a tad bit heavier than I expected leading me to believe the stand can hold some of the heaviest of cans.
I proceeded to test it out with the Audeze LCD-2, which held up quite nicely. Avant is said to be able to take on the Audeze LCD-4, which weighs about 1.3 pounds. Just Mobile HeadStand Avant also stands at 9.8 inches, meaning even the tallest of headphones can be put on display in an elegant (and safe) fashion. I’m looking at you Sennheiser HD 800.
