Here’s the ultimate party accessory. Meet mi8 speakers, the world’s smallest wireless Bluetooth hi-fi sound system.

mi8 Speakers Powerful, Wireless, and Retro-Style

What makes mi8 speakers so wonderful? Well, first off let’s talk about the completely retro design. Many speaker systems these days are often displaying a very sleek and minimal design, but the Australia-based company Voix has done otherwise. “In a world where everything is rapidly becoming mono-tone, we decided to buck the trend and be somewhat different. So, in the designing of the ‘mi8’ we focused on hindsight. And went for that timeless, ol-skool, classic wooden look,” they said on their Kickstarter campaign.

The speakers are also specially designed in a curved-shape which is said to be “more solid and more sonic-ally inert when compared to those of parallel structures.” The curved walls should reduce the formation of unwanted resonance.

The inside of the speakers house two class D amplifiers which also assist in creating a rich and powerful sound in a portable frame. The carefully selected subwoofers are said to provide a deep, bass response. The back of the speakers feature bass reflex ports which use the sound from the rear side of the diaphragm to increase the efficiency of the system at low frequencies. That basically means you should expect face-melting bass with an extended bass response and a deeper bass tone.

The wireless headphones are able to provide 8 hours of playback on a full battery and has the ability to pair with both iOS and Android devices within a 33 feet range. For those interested in the specs, mi8 speakers reach a frequency response of 20-110,000 Hertz.

mi8 can be yours for $120. The speakers will ship to backers in February 2017.
