Native Union ECLIPSE Charging Hub

Native Union ECLIPSE

While we seem to be moving in a wireless direction, most of our electronics are still charged with a cable, which leads to a heap of messy, tangled cables. No fun! However, Native Union ECLIPSE charging hub is a sleek and organized solution.

Native Union’s Head of Design, Fabien Nauroy said, “We’ve been waiting for wireless charging to become the norm, but the reality is we are still very much in the cable era. We continue to rely on cables everyday to charge our tech, and with that comes the all too familiar eyesore of messy cables in our homes and workspaces. ECLIPSE is the answer to all your cable frustrations.”

The ECLIPSE charging hub is a product so simple at its core. The charging hub is built to store three different set of USB charging cables for your home, office, or bedroom. Each cable, which can be up to 8 feet in length, plugs into any of the three USB ports and secure itself into an individual, precision-engineered channel, which keeps the cables from becoming a tangled mess. P.S. One of the USB charging ports is able to switch back and forth between supporting Type-C chargers.

On that note, you may wonder if three devices juicing through one unit will cause them to charge at a super slow rate. Well, lucky for you that is not the case. Native Union’s ECLIPSE uses smart IC technology to ensure that your devices are always charging at their maximum speed (up to 2.4A, and 3A via USB-C). It uses an advanced transformer to guarantee safe currents that won’t damage your devices’ batteries in the long-term. Also, with a tap of the top of ECLIPSE, a halo around the surface of the tech savvy container illuminates making it easier for you to locate your cables in the dark. Another tap on the surface turns the halo off.

Native Union ECLIPSE charging hub is available via Kickstarter in colorways of taupe/walnut wood and marine/ cherry wood. Backers can pledge of $59 to get their own ECLIPSE at a special discount before it hits the market for $79.99. ECLIPSE will chip to backers in April 2017.
