New Release: Mass Fidelity raD Speaker

Mass Fidelity raD Speaker

Mass Fidelity is back touting a new addition to their multi-room speaker system. Meet the new rugged little brother of Core, raD speaker.

New Release: Mass Fidelity raD Speaker

raD is modeled after Mass Fidelity’s Core speaker which launched on Indiegogo two years ago. Following in Core’s footsteps, raD is somewhat of an optimized version – taking into account the demands of their previous customers through focus groups and research.

That being said, raD is portable and built to withstand your next adventure. The exterior is made of a rugged rubber and steel casing. It is also designed with a water resistant IP grade of 6, meaning it can survive some water (like jetting, propelled water). raD speaker is smaller and more compact than the Core – measuring 4.8″ x 4.8″ x 2.8″ – making it easy to transport in a backpack or purse.

When it comes to connectivity and audio support, the speaker uses its own Core technology described as an uncompressed high-bandwidth network, to connect with other Core speaker products. Along with Bluetooth technology, Mass Fidelity’s speakers can link to your smart device. raD also features an auxiliary input, USB connector, power input, and of course the power button. It ships with a 3.5mm stereo cable for wired power when the 8 hour portable life span is up.

Though small, Mass Fidelity promises excellent bass from the mini speaker thanks to absolute bass technology – a combination of electronics, software and mechanical engineering that work together to produce bass impact that is unbelievable for the raD’s small size. Radial Soundfield technology allows for a much wider and expansive reach of crystal clear audio by the little boom box.

raD speaker can be bought now via Mass Fidelity’s Indiegogo campaign page for $169 before it retails at $299. raD ships worldwide to backers in May 2017.
