Noble Audio has introduced two new wired in-ear monitors for 2026: Iris and Vanguard. Both models launch globally on July 7, 2026, expanding Noble’s universal IEM lineup with two very different approaches to portable listening. Iris focuses on a purist single-dynamic-driver design, while Vanguard offers a more accessible three-driver hybrid configuration inspired by the success of Noble’s Knight IEM.
Together, these releases give listeners two new ways into Noble Audio’s sound. Iris is aimed at those who want a coherent, refined single-driver experience, while Vanguard brings Noble’s hybrid tuning philosophy to a wider audience at a lower price point.
Noble Audio Iris: One Driver, One Vision
Noble Audio Iris is built around the concept of “One Driver. One Vision.” Instead of combining multiple driver types, Iris uses a single full-range dynamic driver to create a more unified and naturally connected sound. This design is meant to give vocals, instruments, bass, mids, and treble a cohesive presentation from one carefully controlled source.
At the center of Iris is a custom 10.2mm dynamic driver, using the same driver type found in Noble Audio’s Amadeus but scaled up for greater expression and authority. The driver features a three-layer PU and PEEK diaphragm with a coating, paired with a dual neodymium-iron-boron magnet system. This setup is designed to deliver responsive movement, controlled bass texture, clear midrange presence, and extended high-frequency performance.
Triple Sound Chamber Design
Iris also uses a triple sound chamber architecture inside its CNC-machined housing. This internal structure helps shape airflow and acoustic response, giving the single dynamic driver more control over imaging, vocal placement, and spatial clarity.
The goal is not to make Iris sound overly technical or artificially separated. Instead, Noble presents it as a clean and expressive IEM with a natural flow, focused imaging, and an emotionally direct sound.
Custom Micarta Housing
Visually, Iris stands apart with a blue CNC-machined custom Micarta housing inspired by the iris flower. The material gives the IEM an organic, layered appearance while maintaining the precision expected from a high-end universal monitor.
Iris has an impedance of 34 Ohms and a sensitivity rating of 113dB +/- 3dB at 1kHz, making it compatible with a range of portable and desktop sources. It also comes with an 8-core OCC cable and replaceable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs, giving users flexibility for both single-ended and balanced connections.
Noble Audio Vanguard: A New Accessible Hybrid IEM
Alongside Iris, Noble Audio has also announced Vanguard, a new hybrid IEM designed to bring the brand’s high-performance sound to a wider audience. Vanguard builds on the success of Knight, which Noble describes as the highest-selling IEM in the company’s history.
Vanguard keeps the idea of an approachable Noble wired monitor but introduces a new driver system, improved construction, and a more complete portable listening package. At $325, it is positioned as a serious entry point for listeners who want a Noble Audio IEM without stepping into flagship pricing.
Three-Driver Hybrid Architecture
Vanguard uses a 1DD + 2BA three-way hybrid driver configuration. Its 10mm Polyether Ketone dynamic driver handles the low frequencies, aiming for bass that has weight, control, and natural definition. A custom balanced armature covers the mid-high frequencies for vocal and instrument clarity, while a second custom balanced armature is dedicated to ultra-high frequencies for treble extension and fine detail.
This hybrid setup is designed to balance impact, clarity, and precision. While Iris focuses on single-driver coherence, Vanguard takes a more layered approach, using different drivers to handle specific parts of the frequency range.
Built for Portable Listening
Vanguard is designed for modern portable audio setups. With 112dB SPL/mW sensitivity and 23Ω impedance, it should be easy to drive from smartphones, portable amplifiers, balanced players, and digital audio players.
Noble also includes a 4.4mm balanced cable and a 4.4mm-to-USB-C OCC adaptor cable, making Vanguard ready for use with a wider range of devices right out of the box. This gives it a practical advantage for listeners who want a wired IEM that can easily fit into a phone-based or everyday carry setup.
Aluminium Shell and Premium Cable
Vanguard features a precision-machined aluminium shell, giving it a durable yet lightweight design for daily listening. Each unit is hand-assembled and matched, helping maintain consistent performance between the left and right channels.
An integrated stainless steel wax guard adds extra protection for the acoustic pathway, supporting long-term reliability. The included cable is an 8-core silver-plated OFC cable with a PU-coated outer jacket, 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, and a 4.4mm balanced gold-plated plug.
