Look & Feel
The Noble FoKus series has given us some fantastic designs for true wireless earphones. With the Encore, you get CNC-machined solid wood for both the earbuds and the charging case, where every set has a unique pattern. This makes each pair of Encore’s feel personalized, which is elevated by its colorful appearance. In terms of fit, I think the Encore is the perfect size for this IEM style shell shape. Its spout is a bit large, but it sits in my ears very comfortably. They never feel cumbersome to wear, and never too loose, so you can still expect a good seal.
Design & Functionality
At the heart of the earbuds is a three-way driver system: an 8 mm dynamic driver for bass, two Knowles balanced armatures for detailed mids, and a 6 mm planar magnetic driver for extended, refined treble and strong transient response. Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) is built in, with dual-mic cVc for clear voice calls. These earphones aren’t built around noise-canceling, so other options are out there that are stronger; however, the ANC offered here does its job well enough. Noisey outside environments are quieted without completely eliminating the most aggressive elements.
The Prestige Encore has sound personalization options that you can find in the FoKus app, like custom curves and personal EQs. You can also customize touch sensor controls, which is very handy. The controls themselves are a bit too sensitive, but still highly responsive.
Bluetooth
The Presige Encore runs on a Qualcomm QCC3091 chipset supporting Bluetooth 5.4, with codecs including aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC, and SBC, plus features like TrueWireless Mirroring and multipoint device support. They have a stable connection with fast pairing, never dropping out or desynchronizing.
Battery Life
Battery life is rated at 10 hours (ANC off) or 7 hours (ANC on) per charge, with a 500 mAh wireless-charging case bringing total playback up to 35 hours; a quick 10-minute charge provides about 2 hours of playback. With the Prestige Encore being one of the priciest true wireless earphones, you would expect a better battery life, but 35 hours is pretty standard for what we’ve come to expect.
Soundstage
Noble’s FoKus series has been consistent in providing a wide soundstage that feels uncharacteristic for true wireless earbuds. The Encore is notably more linear than the Rex5 or Prestige, but the spatial imaging is still very precise and engaging. Instruments don’t appear as tall, but they display themselves with great resolution and scale. It balances a flat presentation with an engulfing sound that still finds ways to wrap around you. Sounds that are stacked on top of each other are given an equal push. This doesn’t result in the best separation, but you still get fullness where each sound element is positioned. Certain tracks really reveal the Encore’s far spread, allowing the extreme ends of the left and right channels to be completely occupied by sound.
Low End
It’s rare to hear a bass sound this dynamic over true wireless. While listening to orchestral tracks, the bass had a natural resposne that had a presence but only showed impact when it was necessary. When switching to electronic tracks, the low frequencies really showed what they were capable of. If you’re worried that the audiophile branding would subtract from having bass impact will be satisfied by the Encore’s energy. Everything is very tight and smooth, but the core frequencies have a lot of vigor, especially when expressing individual bass notes. There’s weight and finesse to the frequencies that allow for a level of articulation that is rare for true wireless earbuds. It’s a tone that feels solidified but never congealed in a way that sacrifices definition. This allows for a warm timbre that feels clear and lively while keeping resonance under control.
Mids
You’re most immediate impression of the Encorer will likely be the midrange. It’s hard to ignore the blaring wall of midrange power coming out of these earphones. What’s most impressive about these mids is their transparency. The combination of drive and clarity is quite striking, allowing instruments to come through with a natural tone that can showcase good detail. It doesn’t quite put things under a microscape, but the raw power that emerges from the Encore has a commanding sound that’s more vivid than anything I’ve heard over true wireless.
Highs
The Encore keeps up the energy and balance in the highs. While they lack some height, it doesn’t stop the body of the frequencies from appearing full in the mix. A full treble allows the Encore to exhibit some colorful qualities, such as a plucky ring that glistens without featuring any harsh tones. There’s a rawness to its tone, but it’s very defined and extremely clean.
Summary
The Noble Audio FoKus Prestige Encore delivers one of the most refined and detailed sound signatures you’ll hear from a pair of true wireless earbuds. Between its three-way hybrid driver array, lossless Bluetooth performance, and luxurious handcrafted design, the Encore feels purpose-built for discerning listeners who demand artistry as much as technical excellence. While the ANC and battery life sit in familiar territory, the Encore’s soundstage depth, articulate bass, transparent mids, and vibrant highs set it apart from the competition. For those seeking a wireless IEM that blends audiophile precision with aesthetic craftsmanship, the FoKus Prestige Encore proves that Noble Audio is still a step ahead of the curve.
