There’s a phrase that says “Go hard or go home” and Sennheiser decided to “Go hard” at IFA 2017 releasing 3 new earbuds along with a major push for their smart headset, Sennheiser Ambeo. We are excited to announce a new take on the Momentum HD 1 wireless, the Sennheiser Momentum HD 1 Free wireless earbuds.
New Release Sennheiser Momentum HD 1 Free Wireless Earbuds
I know what you’re thinking, “Didn’t Sennheiser release a Bluetooth-based Momentum HD 1 earbud not too long ago?” True. The company did and it’s called the Momentum HD 1 Wireless. Their new iteration is the Sennheiser Momentum HD 1 Free. It’s designed to provide the signature Momentum sound in a small, lightweight, and portable frame over Bluetooth 4.2 for a solid connection. AptX codecs also promise CD-like quality.
The new wireless earbud ditches the whole neckband-with integrated-touch-controls-thing for a lightweight cable that rests behind the nape of the neck. For anyone who felt the resting neckband of the Momentum Wirelesss was too cumbersome, the HD 1 Free may bee the better option for you.
P.S. from what I can assume by design, the HD 1 Free won’t vibrate when you receive a call.
As for the run time, you can expect 6 hours, which is 4 hours less than the Momentum HD 1 Wireless. I’m assuming that’s because there’s less room to store a large battery.
Sennheiser Momentum HD 1 Free will be on the market October 2017 for $199.95.
