Yamaha Launches Premium Headphones Ahead of CanJam SoCal 2025

Yamaha has officially expanded its premium headphone lineup with the launch of the YH-4000 and YH-C3000, two models designed to deliver extraordinary sound, comfort, and craftsmanship. Inspired by the brand’s flagship YH-5000SE, the new releases embody Yamaha’s True Sound philosophy, which aims to reproduce music with lifelike realism, emotional depth, and spatial precision. Both headphones are manufactured in Japan at a Yamaha facility renowned for producing flagship pianos and high-end audio components, underscoring the brand’s dedication to artistry and precision.

YH-4000 Premium Open-Back Headphones

The YH-4000 draws inspiration from the YH-5000SE, bringing Yamaha’s acclaimed Orthodynamic driver technology to a more accessible price point. With a refined, intimate sound profile, the YH-4000 is designed to reveal every nuance of a performance.

  • Orthodynamic Planar Drivers: Ultra-thin diaphragms deliver fast, precise response and exceptional detail.

  • PET Mesh Filters: Enhance midrange density and bass impact while maintaining a wide, open sound.

  • Lightweight Comfort: At just 320 grams, the headphones feature magnesium housings, hybrid suede and PU leather pads, and a stepless adjustable headband for long listening sessions.

The YH-4000 strikes a balance between clarity, depth, and comfort, making it an ideal choice for audiophiles seeking a premium open-back experience.

YH-C3000 Premium Closed-Back Headphones

The YH-C3000 introduces Yamaha’s all-new Armodynamic drivers, a technology more than a decade in development. Featuring a three-layer diaphragm construction of blended paper, resin, and ZYLON, along with a soft foam core, the drivers deliver smooth, natural sound with minimal distortion.

  • Armodynamic Drivers: Provide fast response, high resolution, and controlled resonance.

  • Wooden Housings: Crafted from beech wood with a polished black finish, echoing Yamaha’s piano heritage.

  • Luxury Comfort: Weighing only 330 grams, the headphones use silk protein leather memory foam earpads and a two-layer adjustable headband for fatigue-free listening.

This model brings Yamaha’s innovation to the premium closed-back segment, combining audiophile-grade performance with exquisite design.
