Coming to you from luxe Parisian audio house Aedle, the new Aedle VK-X Wireless headphones are the first of its kind. Each individually hand-crafted and assembled to deliver premium sound in a premium frame.

Aedle VK-X Wireless Headphones are Individually Handcrafted

The over-ear wireless headphone features luxurious leather bound circular ear cushions (a little reminiscent of Bang and Olufsen). Like B&O, the headband and ear cushions are comprised of lambskin leather. However, Aedle VK-X’s leather is from the South of France. The ear cups and extenders are cut and crafted with precision from a block of aluminum using CNC. The minimal brushed-metal aesthetic is very attractive and makes for a timeless look. A just as luxe-looking multifunction button under the right ear cup can be used to pause/play, skip forward and backward, and adjust the volume. You can also make phone calls.

Aedle VK-X Wireless HeadphonesAedle VK-X headphones are built to provide high-resolution audio in both wired and wireless mode. The cans are able to do so with a Type USB-C port and a stereo advanced 24 bit high sound quality audio DAC for wired use and the following codecs for wireless use: LDAC, APTX HD, and AAC. If you’re worried about the Type-C connection, Aedle throws in a Type-C to 3.5mm cable, Type-C to Type-C cable, and a Type-C to Type-A cable. This cable is also used to charge your headphone. VK-X is also souped up with active noise cancelling technology.

As for run time, depending on whether users are engaged in both wireless mode and ANC, the battery life can run between 14 to 24 hours. When it comes to sound, the headphones reach a frequency response range between 20 to 20kHz at an impedance of 32 ohms using 40 mm dynamic drivers with Titanium membranes and Neodymium magnets.

If interested, Aedle VK-X Wireless headphones just launched on Indiegogo and will start retailing at the early bird price of $349, though valued at $649. For an additional $50, customers can customize their VK-X with Aedle’s “Made To Order” service by selecting their own combination of leather finishes and anodized aluminium.
