During CanJam SoCal, 64 Audio introduced their latest UIEM. Looking to succeed the Fourté’s ten-year reign as 64 Audio’s flagship, the Ocean aims to establish a new standard for portable hi-fi through its six driver setup and rich personalization potential.
Fluid Design
Housed in a Champagne Copper aluminum shell, the design visually draws from aeolian ripples formed on a windy beach. Inside lies a six-driver, four-way system, crafted for a neutral overall signature and natural mid-range.
Two custom dynamic drivers laid within a true isobaric arrangement conduct a punchy yet polished low end. Mids prioritize clarity and richness, facilitated by two balanced armature drivers. To further reinforce reference mid-range, a third balanced armature is tuned to smooth the high-mids. Ocean’s high frequency is covered by their patented tia high-driver, further empowered by the tia waveguide acoustic system.
Passive Acoustic Control
Accounting for varied preferences of low-frequency response, the Ocean offers four different back-vent filters to switch between. With these options, listeners receive approximately 8db of sensitivity adjustment. 64 Audio also enables high-frequency tinkering with a removable stainless steel screen. In all, the Ocean presents 32 possible combinations to alter sound to your preferences.
