Just a few days shy of what the tech world anticipates as an audio jack-less apocalypse, Griffin iTrip Clip is here to convert your wired pair of headphones into a wireless dream.
Griffin iTrip Clip Makes Wired Headphones Wireless
In just about a week’s time Apple will host a launch event detailing the new specs of the iPhone 7, to which many believe will feature a Lightning port rather than a 3.5 mm audio jack. If you aren’t in the market to obtain a new pair of wireless or Lightning jack equipped headphones you may want to consider this much cheaper alternative.
The Griffin iTrip Clip is $20. It features a 3.5 mm port for you to plug your headphones into. Using Bluetooth 4.1 technology, iTrip will then pair with your cellphone or smart device (up to 30 feet away) to reroute the music to your headphones. The iTrip is also a remote, with fast forward, back track, pause, play, and volume functionality as well as a built-in mic to take calls.
The tiny device can also connect to your car’s stereo with an auxiliary cable. This allows you to listen and control your smartphone in your car, wirelessly.
The 800 mAh battery will keep iTrip running for up to 6 hours of music playback and talk time. A micro-USB charging cable is included in the box.
