Venezuelan EDM producer and DJ ARCA, nee Alejandro Ghersi, launched the risque headset in collaboration with leather fashion house Fleet Ilya, known for their luxe pieces consisting of everything from casual belts to fancy restraints. ARCA took to Instagram to unveil the $6450 headset with the caption, “hey i designed some headphones it’s casual they’re really cheap pick up a pair or don’t or whatever either way i’m locking you into the sound 💋”
The headphone, branded SSENSE Exclusive Black Arca Edition Tormenta Cage Headphone Head Piece, is comprised of structured buffed leather cage-style head piece in black with studded detailing throughout featuring integrated over-the-ear headphones featuring suede-covered cushioned ear pads, detachable post-stud cinch tab, remote, and 1.25 metre cable. There is also a D-ring hardware at the face as well as twin adjustable post-stud fastenings at collar.
The headphone is available exclusively on SSENSE as an “art object” – that probably means it doesn’t sound as cutting edge as it looks does it? In any case, you’d rather pass ARCA’s also released a second pricey piece, this one a $770 fanny pack in concert with Prada.
