New Release Audeze iSine and LCD i3, Sept 1 Launch

While in Berlin at IFA, Audeze will unveil their world’s first planar magnetic in-ear buds to attendees during the international electronics trade show.

Planar magnetic headphones are known for their pure sound and crisp clarity fund in over-ear primarily over-ear designs. Bringing this type of production to in-ear enthusiasts will be monumental.

“An avant-garde design without a care for the status quo, this innovation rewrites the rules for in-ear earphones. We are really proud of these groundbreaking headphones as we push headphone innovation,” CEO Sankar Thiagasamudram said in a statement.

Avant-garde, very much so. I’m figuring the web design is so the tiny audio device is able to provide enough surface area for the planar magnetic drivers to ring true.

There are two versions to the iSine, the iSine 10 and 20. The Audeze iSine 10 is $400 and drives at 16 ohms. The iSine 20 offers a longer voice coil for better detail at a price tag of $600, as described by Digital Trends. The LCD i3 will run you a bit more, retailing at $2500. These planars are said to boast a bass response level of 10 Hertz.

Both the Audeze iSine and LCD i3 use both a 3.5mm jack and a Lightning cable. Pre-orders can be placed at your local headphone store, and will ship end of October.
