Boombotix Wireless Headphones with HYBRID Audio

It only makes sense that an audio company specializing in clip-on speakers for commuters would eventually get into the headphones business. Boombotix has created three different wireless models with audiophiles and travelers in mind. The MASTER, MIDI, and MICRO headphones are all equipped with Bluetooth technology, Siri/Google voice control, and hybrid audio. This is what sets Boombotix apart. Hybrid audio technology allows for wearers to stay in touch with their surroundings while listening to music. External microphones pull audio back in through the headphones allowing for ambient noise to be heard.

MASTER is an over-ear design. The professional, audiophile grade headset uses 50 mm drivers to provide a flat response for those who mix and master audio. MASTER is relatively lightweight, at 0.68 pounds, and sports a water resistant grade of IPX4. It is also equipped with a multi-function button to adjust volume levels, switch between tracks, and take calls. MASTER can be used for up to 8 hours off of a single charge, which takes 2.5 hours to supply.

MIDI is an ultra-portable on-ear design. It weighs in at less than half a pound thanks to its lightweight polycarbonate package. This model uses 40 mm drivers and also sports a water resistance grade of IPX4. Similar to the Master, MIDI also employs the use of a external microphone to allow ambient noise through the ear cups, if the user so wishes to hear their surroundings. Bluetooth and charging times are the same as MASTER.

MICRO is an in-ear design for those with an extra active lifestyle. The sport-style earbuds feature a skyhook fastening system to secure in the wearer’s ears. The wireless earbuds are also water resistant, feature a multi-function button, and hybrid audio technology like that of the previous two models.

All three of the Boombotix wireless headphones ship with a one year warranty. Currently available for purchase through a Kickstarter campaign with MASTER, MIDI, and MICRO being sold at $49, $69, and $79, respectively. Backers can expect to receive their headphones in late Summer/early Fall.
