Dirac Live Now Available for Select Bluesound Players

Bluesound, renowned for its award-winning hi-res multi-room streaming players, has exciting news for audio enthusiasts. Effective January 14, 2025, select Bluesound devices will support Dirac Live, the premier room correction technology that ensures superior sound quality, regardless of room acoustics. You can use Dirac Live via a firmware update if you own the NODE (N132) and NODE ICON (N530). According to Bluesound, older models like the NODE X (N131), NODE (N130), POWERNODE (N330), and POWERNODE EDGE (N230) will also be compatible with Dirac Live at a later date before summer 2025.

Project manager at Bluesound Matt Simmonds explains “This launch is important to us since Dirac Live has been one of the most requested features from Bluesound customers due to its unique room correction methods that result in more transparent, balanced sound, and tighter bass and enhanced clarity.”

What is Dirac Live?

Dirac Live is a state-of-the-art room correction system designed to enhance audio output by adapting sound based on the unique characteristics of your space. When it comes to sound, the room you’re in can greatly impact what you hear. With Dirac Live, the sound of your room is tuned to bring out the most clarity and detail from your hardware.

Key Features of the Bluesound Room Calibration Kit

The Room Calibration Kit, priced at USD 39/GBP 39/EUR 45/CAD 59, includes a high-performance omnidirectional microphone that connects via USB to any laptop. This kit is essential for proper calibration with Dirac Live and is compatible with both Windows and MacOS.
