A new little (sort of little) hot box has hit the Bang and Olufsen online store and it’s their most powerful, portable speaker to date. Meet Beolit 17.

New Release: Bang and Olufsen Beolit 17 Wireless Speakers

This gem is modeled as the big bro of the Beolit 12 packing 240 watts of power rather than a mere 120 watts. It reportedly has the same stature, standing at 9.7in x  7.4in x 5.2in, though differing in weight. The Beolit 12 is about a pound heavier at 6.2 pounds while the Beolit 17 is at 5.7 pounds.

Nonetheless, expect the signature B&O polished exterior comprised of an anodized aluminum grill on the new speaker. It is crafted to supply listeners with a full 360 degrees of sound while a leather strap makes the woofer easy enough to take to your next party on the patio. P.S. Create a super immersive listening experience by stereo pairing with up to two other Beolit 17 speakers.

Beolit 17 is super smart and as such is built with intelligent features and controls. Users can pair their speaker with the BeoPlay app and customize the connect button. “Wake up to your favourite morning tunes with the alarm; pause, play or skip songs with the remote feature; launch your playlist or customize your music to match your mood with ToneTouch – all with a single touch on the connect button. Just set up your favourite feature via Beoplay App and personalise your Beolit 17 to fit your needs,” boasts B&O. Aside from the Connect button, there are buttons or On/Off, Bluetooth, and volume adjustment.

As for sound quality, Bang and Olufsen never disappoint. This speaker reaches a frequency response range of 37 to 20,000 Hertz. Yippee!

So how long does the fun last? Up to 24 hours on a single full charge. Whaaaaaaaaaaa?!?! Such an incredible run time which only takes about 2.5 hours to reach.

Interested? Head over to Bang and Olufsen’s site and be prepared to spend $499 USD. The speaker is available in either Stone Grey or Natural.
