These sleek-looking cans follow in the sound direction close to that of the Z1R is Sony MDR-1AM2, according to Sony. The headphones are fit with 40mm HD driver units that feature aluminum-coated liquid crystal polymer diaphragms to support every fine distinction with perfect reproduction and is compatible with up to 100 kHz frequencies playback. The MDR-1AM2 is specially fit with a Fibonacci patterned grill to support ultra-high frequency ranges as well as silver-coated oxygen free copper for better transmission.
In terms of fit, the MDR-1AM2 is said to be lighter and more comfortable than its predecessor. The ear pads have also been specially designed to provide the utmost comfort during long listening sessions.
Sony MDR-1AM2 will available in Spring 2018 for $299.
