From the maker of BEATS by Dre comes this colorful twist on ROAM ROPES. CEO Dr. Steven Lamar decided to make a colorful special edition debut of ROAM ROPES, which is said to be the world’s first fully-integrated, wearable, Bluetooth earphones with companion amplifier and audio personalization app.

ROPES USA

ROPES USAROPES are fashioned as earbuds linked to a specially crafted cable that keeps the wires from tangling around your neck. The ear tips feature a sports like fin for a secure fit in the ear while the connected cable is designed with an in-line mic and controller to switch back and forth between tracks, adjust the volume, and take calls. The earphones contain 10 mm drivers that reach a frequency response between 4 – 20,000 Hertz and use Bluetooth 4.1 technology to communicate with your smart devices.

The headphones are truly specialized by a fully-integrated amplifier and audio equalizer that is customized with the companion app ROAM EQ. The app allows users to adjust various elements of the music as well as select preset listening profiles, including preloaded “Artist Sound Signatures.” These settings are created by new and established artists with specific and unique settings for listening to their music. Starting in Fall 2016, ROAM users will be able to download Artist Sound Signature directly to their ROAM EQ app.

Via ROPES USA’s Kickstarter campaign, Lamar advises he was motivated to create the nationalistic colorway, with modifications to make a sportier and more sleek version of ROAM ROPES, after reflecting on the astounding accomplishments of Olympic athletes who would represent America in Brazil. ROPES USA will actually be worn by US athletes in Brazil this summer. Lamar was also impressed by the American men and women who serve our country overseas as well as at home as law enforcement officials and emergency personnel. That being said, ROAM will donate $10,000 to the Gary Sinise Foundation upon the completion of their crowdsourcing campaign. However, his team notes, no funds raised through this campaign will be used to fund the donation.

ROPES USA is available via Kickstarter for $119 before it retails for $199. Orders are expected to ship in August 2016.
