The new headphone has a similar exterior to that of the HD 800 S, but it’s closed back. I know! Sennheiser promises that this headphone provides the spatial realism we all love while allowing you to emerge from sonic solitary confinement. The headphone does so with a unique innovation. The signature Sennheiser Ring Radiator transducers are fitted with glass covers. The glass is concave which reflects the sound waves from the rear of the transducer to an absorber resulting in minimal resonance. In effect, the sound waves are basically gone like they would be in open-back headphones. The headphones are available for pre-order at $2399.95 and will ship in June.

Sennheiser CES 2018 New Releases Sennhekiser CX 6.00BT

Sennheiser also unveiled a new in-ear bud, Sennheiser CX 6.00BT.  This earbud is wireless. It is said to deliver smooth audio with an enhanced bass line. It features Bluetooth 4.2 and  Qualcomm aptX to deliver CD-like quality as well as aptX Low Latency to deal with skipping. The headphone holds a 6-hour battery life, which could be a little better since other competitors average about 7.5 hours. Though, a quick charge of ten minutes supplies the buds with about 1.5 hours of juice. It takes a full 2 hours to fully recharge.

Speaking on the new bud, Sennheiser Product Manager Nan Chen said, “We have created the CX 6.00BT to deliver everything you need to enjoy excellent sound on the go. Thanks to the latest wireless technologies you can enjoy this unspoilt audio experience with the flexibility of supremely compact, lightweight and comfortable Bluetooth headphones.”

Sennheiser CX 6.00BT will be available this month for $99.95.
