T+A has announced the Solitaire T Pro, a new development of its Solitaire T headphone platform that brings together audiophile listening, wireless connectivity, and immersive entertainment features. Described by the company as its “T+A Studio in Motion,” the Solitaire T Pro adds a dedicated Studio Pro mode, Dolby Atmos technology with head tracking, and an Active Analogue concept that allows wired analogue listening alongside powered features.
42mm Drivers Designed for Passive and Active Listening
The acoustic foundation of the T+A Solitaire T Pro is a 42mm transducer with a cellulose diaphragm. T+A describes the diaphragm as highly rigid and agile, pairing it with precise edge damping to target a linear, uncolored frequency response. According to the company, that acoustic performance extends to purely passive operation. This makes passive listening part of the Solitaire T Pro’s core design, alongside its digital processing and powered listening modes.
Studio Pro Mode Adds an ESS Sabre DAC
For active listening, the Solitaire T Pro features an engageable Studio Pro mode that uses a dedicated ESS ES9219 Sabre DAC to convert high-resolution audio signals. T+A pairs this conversion stage with a purely analogue volume control. The company emphasizes that its approach avoids digital attenuation that can reduce effective signal resolution, describing this as avoiding digital “bit-stripping.” Together, the dedicated DAC and analogue volume adjustment form a central part of the headphones’ audiophile feature set.
Dolby Atmos and Head Tracking for Immersive Audio
The Solitaire T Pro also expands into immersive entertainment with Dolby Atmos technology and a high-precision gyro sensor for head tracking. T+A describes a 360-degree soundscape anchored in space, intended to create a private cinema experience. The spatial audio features broaden the headphones’ focus beyond conventional music playback, bringing immersive listening into the same platform as their dedicated audiophile mode.
LDAC, aptX Adaptive, and Sony-Based ANC
Wireless codec support includes LDAC and aptX Adaptive, giving the Solitaire T Pro two prominent options for compatible playback devices. Active noise cancellation uses a Sony chipset, with T+A positioning ANC as another key feature for listening in different environments.
Active Analogue Listening With ANC and Volume Control
One of the most distinctive features is T+A’s Active Analogue concept. This allows an analogue audio signal to feed the headphones while internal features such as ANC and volume control remain available. The announcement includes 4.4mm Pentaconn among the analogue connection options. For listeners using compatible wired equipment, Active Analogue provides an additional way to combine an external analogue source with the convenience of the headphones’ powered functions.
Nightflight and Riviera Finishes
The T+A Solitaire T Pro uses bead-blasted, anodized aluminium and a foldable design. Two finishes give the headphones different visual identities. Nightflight combines a black base with deep grey and bright silver accents, continuing what T+A describes as its established design language. Riviera pairs cream or white surfaces with cognac brown contrasts. T+A presents this version as a design inspired by timeless French elegance.
