These headphones scream rave-worthy with glowing animal ears perched atop Wild Beat’s LED headphones. The animal ears have the ability to move side to side in addition to glowing. The headphones appear to be offered with the options of either pointy cat ears (round bear ears will be available later) as well as in a black or white chassis. The headphones display LED lights in a number of colors. User’s are able to select their preferred color. Using the micro-controller, user’s are also able to control the ear’s movement. The removable cable also glows to the beat of the music. When the lights become just too much, there is an option to turn them off.

Wild Beat headphones feature soft ear cushions for passive sound isolation and extended party wear. Sound-wise, i’m unsure of how great these headphones sound, but TechWeaR says the headphones will reach a frequency response between 20 – 20,000 Hertz and “can handle a strong bass and would be great for listening to pop or rock music.”

The raver-ready headphones are equipped with Bluetooth technology to be used wirelessly with your cellphone and other smart devices. The headphones come with a Lithium-ion battery. It can be charged via the microUSB charging port which is located internally behind the speaker.

Wild Beat launched on Kickstarter June 1st and has already racked $4,816, but they are looking to make $10,000. The headphones will retail for $350, but interested backers can pledge $150 to receive a discounted pair until this campaign closes July 1. Wild Beat rotating-ear headphones will ship in December 2016.
