Bravo Headphones by Sharkk, Hybrid Electrostatic

Backed by a number of music professionals, Bravo looks to be an impressive set of electrostatic headphones that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Electrostatic headphones are known for delivering superior sound quality and as a result are quit expensive.

These types of headphones work by placing electric charge on a very thin film that sits between two metal plates. When audio voltages are applied across the plates, the entire film will move. Bravo advises their patented thin, electrostatic film allows the headphones to provide some of the best sound quality. The film produces high fidelity and low interference for ultra sound clarity. Unlike dynamic headphones, Bravo does not contain magnets, which means there should be less distortion sound-wise. So much so, the total harmonic distortion is reported as 0.5 percent.

Bravo is comprised of a cushioned headband and matching ear cushions. The entire frame is said to be comfortable and lightweight while offering great sound isolation. The ear cups contain 40 mm cone drivers as well as 40 mm electrostatic unit holders. The New Jersey-based audio company promises Bravo reaches a frequency response range between 6 – 45,000 Hertz. Many of the testaments made by professional musicians (like those who have worked with Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and more) report the sound as being very impressive, especially for the price. This electrostatic headset is said to deliver Hi-Fi sound with powerful bass. By design these cans are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, from music producers to the everyday commuter.

For those looking for a pair of electrostatic headphones, these may be the ones with a price tag of just $199 via Indiegogo. The headphones appear to be a built in a sturdy frame, but if any mishaps are to occur purchasers are provided with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Sharkk plans on shipping Bravo headphones to backers in October 2016.
